Get ready to laugh your troubles away with this hilarious art-infused comedy panel show!

Does your group-chat feel like the blind leading the blind? Have you spent your life savings on therapy sessions but still compulsively date Virgos?

Catch a live interactive comedy show where audience-members express their most pressing concerns through art (with an array of drawing materials to choose from!) to a panel of some of Montreal's funniest comedians (Mariam Khan, Tyler Lemco, Andrina Learmonth, Jonathan Burrello). Important note; not actual therapists.

Consenting audience-members submit their artworks to be analyzed by the panel, with hilary ensuing. Attendees will have ample time to work on their drawings while enjoying some top tier stand up comedy.

Cross stitch is a calming and rhythmic craft where tiny stitches slowly come together to build an image. In this workshop, participants will create a playful embroidered journal cover while exploring patterns, color, and texture, stitch by stitch. A variety of motif options will be provided, including florals, ocean-inspired elements, playful icons, and initials for personalization.

What Participants Learn:

• Fundamentals of cross stitch

• How to read simple stitch patterns

• How to maintain stitch consistency

• How to manage thread tension

• Finishing techniques for stitching on journal covers

• Tips for planning motifs and personalization with initials

Aashita Jain is the founder of Punah: (@punah.co), a design practice centered on creating one-of-a-kind upcycled garments through textile exploration. With over 10 years of experience in the textile industry, her work combines material-led processes with traditional craft techniques. Alongside her practice, she leads workshops that are calm, hands-on, and accessible, encouraging participants to explore craft through making and develop a deeper connection with materials.

Nesting dolls, or Matryoshka dolls, are sets of hollow, wooden figurines that decrease in size, and fit inside one another. At this fun, social art experience you'll be given a blank set and tasked with the job of painting your own to take home with you.

Traditional nesting dolls are typically painted as women in rural attire, but you have the creative freedom to make them anything at all! Paint them as your family, Montreal Canadiens players, or totally abstrack; there's no wrong way to do it.
