Learn the fundamentals of macramé by creating a handcrafted plant hanger. This workshop introduces participants to essential knotting techniques and guides them through building a structured piece, step by step.

Make something useful with your hands, meet some cool people, and feel the rhythm, tension, and form of the fiber.

• Basic macramé knots and how to combine them

• Understanding structure and tension in cord-based work

• Building a plant hanger from start to finish

• Finishing techniques for a clean and durable piece

Participants will also learn how to create a simple plant hanger that can be easily recreated at home!

Aashita Jain is the founder of Punah: (@punah.co), a design practice centered on creating one-of-a-kind upcycled garments through textile exploration. With over 10 years of experience in the textile industry, her work combines material-led processes with traditional craft techniques.Alongside her practice, she leads workshops that are calm, hands-on, and accessible, encouraging participants to explore craft through making and develop a deeper connection with materials.
