DIY T-SHIRT YARN & BAG WORKSHOP
Crochet Knit Club Montreal X Dr. Lemco’s Creative Club (5271 Maisonneuve Ouest)
Sunday, April 26th
2-5 PM

Make it cute, make it sustainable. Turn your old clothes into something new & beautiful.

Join us for a cozy, beginner-friendly workshop where you’ll turn recycled fabric into a one-of-a-kind crochet shoulder bag!

Whether you’ve never touched a crochet hook or you’re already a yarntist, this workshop is designed for everyone. You’ll receive your very own crochet kit, and we'll walk you through every step of the process so you can make your own bag, just in time for the spring & summer!

This relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop will teach you how to transform an old T-shirt into soft, stretchy yarn, and how to start crocheting a simple and functional shoulder bag with it.

Everyone welcome!

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:

  • Turn old fabric into t-shirt yarn (or use pre-made t-shirt yarn!)

  • Follow an easy crochet pattern to start your bag

  • Shape and style your own functional, cute summer shoulder bag

  • Friendly guidance and Q&A support while you crochet

T-shirt yarn, hooks, pins, scissors and all necessary materials provided. Bring any food/drink you'd like, and enjoy the complimentary tea bar.

No shirt to cut up? No problem, we’ll have some yarn kits available for purchase.

You'll leave with a full heart, a roll of your own handmade yarn, an exciting new crochet project, and maybe even some new friends!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • A relaxed, outdoorsy terrace setting surrounded by trees and park energy

  • A hands-on tutorial led by Crochet Knit Club MTL instructors

  • Friendly, no-pressure instruction — totally beginner-safe

  • Chill tunes, good convos, and a welcoming, low-key vibe

  • Option to bring snacks, a blanket, and really settle in

Space is limited to 14 spots to keep the experience intimate and intentional, so reserve your spot!

Unless otherwise specified, our workshops are for ages 18+.

Dr Lemco’s Creative Club is located at 5271 Maisonneuve Ouest (steps from Vendome Metro, near the corner of Decarie).
